Tips for Keeping Your Money Safe While Traveling

One of the biggest concerns you'll face when traveling to or from your timeshare is how to keep your money safe. Whether you're traveling cross-country or internationally, read below to find out our top tips for the best ways to protect your money while in transit.

Keep your valuables in a money pouch
By keeping your valuables in a money pouch and not a backpack, wallet, or purse, you will keep them closer to your body and make it more difficult for someone to casually steal them. Money pouches are inexpensive and largely available.

Be safe at the ATM
While local currency is a convenience, it is also dangerous. Whenever you approach an ATM, take a minute to glance around you. Block your pin number with your hand and make sure you are in a safe, well-lit area. Also take care that no one follows you into the ATM or comes a little too close for comfort while you are waiting for your cash to be dispensed.

Make a copy
Make a copy of all your critical documents (passport, credit cards, driver's license, etc.) and keep them at home. In case of being robbed, you will be able to contact someone back home and have your important papers sent to you.
